Matthias König is the CEO and a partner at bobdo. As a marketing and communications consultant, he personally oversees bobdo’s most important clients and guides their projects from the initial idea through to completion.

His roots are in film. Matthias holds a degree in communication management and founded the film production company Koenigsfreunde in 2012, where he developed an instinct for how messages resonate with people. In 2016, Koenigsfreunde merged with bobdo, and film production has been an integral part of the agency’s services ever since.

At bobdo, Matthias focuses on consulting, key account management, and communications. He keeps an eye on the big picture for his clients and ensures that strategy, film, and digital initiatives work together seamlessly.

Beyond bobdo, Matthias has an extensive network in the Vorarlberg business community and holds various roles, such as serving on advisory boards—including that of Bregenz Tourism & City Marketing—or acting as an authorized signatory. This experience across different industries and committees directly informs his consulting work, as Matthias understands how decisions are made within companies and what it takes to make sound decisions for one’s own marketing efforts.
